CVPKG is CoTradeCo Packaging site

A lot has changed since we decided to take the trading post concept online. We come from a strong background in the packaging industry, from custom foam and cases to shipping and janitorial supplies. This site is going to move forward focused entirely on packaging and our rich history in that specific industry. However, our focus is much broader now, and getting stronger everyday, bringing strong brands to the fore and servicing focused niche industries, professions and hobbies.

Some of these brands include Pelican cases and lights. CamelBak hydration backpacks, water bottles, and gloves for personal, military, and first responders. ArtBin art and craft supply cases and organizational systems. Jackson Safety industrial safety and supply. UltraTech Spill Containment compliance and hazardous materials and waste management.

You can see a complete brand and product line overview here.

My name is Patty. I’ve got to tell all you bakers out there about my little secret. Actually, it’s not a secret anymore because I’ve inspired all of my girlfriends to use my little trick. My husband is in the army. We live in a tiny town here in Missouri. I am a new mother and have recently found baking to be very therapeutic and relaxing. I make pies, cranberry, blueberry, strawberry, every berry you can think of. When we have to say goodbye, Jim always tells me that he’ll be back for that pie.

One day, the day after he got back, I spent the morning doing laundry and kneading dough. Jim was back and I made him a very special pie that was just about ready. But the oven glove was in the wash along with the kitchen towels and the tablecloth. I saw Jim’s gloves on top of his sack in the hallway. I ran over, put them on and pulled out the pie. They were really comfortable, I held the tin in my fingers and didn’t feel any heat, I was amazed. I preferred these over my old oven mit which makes me feel like a gingerbread cookie with one giant thumb and four fingers stuck together. Jim starts laughing at me while I’m standing there holding this pie with his army gloves on. They’re the ones he uses out in the field when he’s away. I told him I’m keeping these and he’ll just have to survive.

We thanked Patty for writin' in. The gloves she's talkin' about are from Camelbak, the Military Heat Grip CT.

So yer wantin' to know about this har tradin' post, eh?

Trader Dan is the free wheelin' tough guy who operates this here tradin' post. After a proud stint in the military, Dan found himself workin' a 9 to 5 for one of them wall street type corporations. Well Dan spent those years goin' out and learning how to trade; where to get the best prices on the best goods and how to treat a customer. But Dan and the corporate workaday world wasn't workin' out. So Dan headed out to the hills of Caleefornia and staked a claim on some land nobody wanted in the desert. He built himself a shack to call home and retire in peace, but wouldn't ya' know every so often a traveler would come through stopping in asking for directions. Dan would invite 'em in, give 'em a glass of water, and ask 'em about their travels. Woooeee did he hear some tall tales. Well it got to be enough people were comin' by, Trader Dan got it in his head that he'd start a little tradin' post, where he could make some deals with the folks comin' through and listen to their stories.

Thus was born the Coachella Valley Trading Post. A place where folks come by to find some neat stuff, read stories from other folks, and post some of their own.

As Dan keeps expandin' the trading post, you can be sure there will be a whole lot of interesting characters and stuff to look at. Word has it that Trader Dan met an gypsy woman comin' back from Denver named Old Sonya who knows everything with her crystal ball and she might be settin' up shop in the back. Then there's Dan' old buddy Radioactive Redd. He's a space cowboy whose got his pulse on the that new fangled technology people keep inventin'.

And well, there's you. Fact is, you all are the most important part of this tall tale. We want to hear from you. See something you like on the site? Tell us about it. See something that reminds you of anything in your life? Tell us about it. Did ya' buy somethin' from the tradin' post? Tell us about it. Heck, if you're story is interesting enough Dan just might give ya' deal on your next purchase here at the post, or even send out them wacky creative types that live in the shack out back to do a whole article about ya'.
